Putty – three types that we want to talk about

Three types of putty that we want to talk about. Putty is a surface preparation process before finishing works. Such as painting, wallpapering, pouring linoleum or covering with ceramic tiles
Plastering is a process that involves applying putty to a surface to smooth out irregularities, cover cracks and provide a smooth and even surface for further work.
Putties are different in composition, properties and purpose. Let’s consider some of the most common types of putty:
Gypsum putty
It is made from gypsum powder, which is mixed with water to create a paste. It dries quickly and is quite easy to work with. It is well suited for leveling surfaces and filling small cracks and holes.
Cement
It contains cement, sand and water and is very strong and durable. It is suitable for work outdoors and in places with high humidity, as it is resistant to moisture and frost.
Acrylic
Contains acrylic resin, which gives it high strength and durability. It dries quickly and does not increase in volume during drying, which allows you to achieve a smooth surface. Suitable for leveling surfaces and filling cracks in interior spaces.
Putty is an important component of the interior decoration process, which helps to create perfectly even and smooth surfaces before painting, wallpapering or covering walls and ceilings with decorative materials. This process requires some skills and knowledge, and it helps to achieve a professional result when repairing or building.
